GSQC Quality Award and Recognition
Program Overview
The Granite State Quality Council Recognition and Award Program recognizes
New Hampshire organizations for performance excellence. The criteria are based
on that established in the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
The Granite State Quality Council Recognition and Award Program is meant to
bring this quality awareness process to all organizations in the
state.
Why Should You Submit an Application?
The criteria, when used, will permit a diagnosis of an organization's overall
performance management system and will improve and enhance the quality of
service and product in any organization. Additionally, the program
promotes:
- understanding of the requirements for performance excellence and
competitiveness improvement; and
- sharing of information on successful performance strategies and the benefits
derived from using these strategies.
The Quality Award is for organizations with mature quality management systems
that have demonstrated performance excellence in one or all seven categories of
the criteria. While there is no limit on the number of Quality Awards or
Category Awards that may be presented each year, there is also no requirement
that any Awards have to be presented.
The Quality Recognition Program
is
for those organizations beginning their quality journey toward performance
excellence and consists of four levels: Quality Interest, Quality Assessment,
Quality Commitment, and Quality Achievement. The four levels of Recognition are
non-competitive and all organizations that complete the requirements will
receive recognition at one of the levels.
